We know how to measure capacity! After reading Little Robin Red Vest, we measured out some bird seed for him to eat. We know a full cup of bird seed means the ‘seeds are at the top’. 🫘 Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Bailey

Making a splash with our outdoor maths this week! 💦 We worked in partners to transfer water into empty cups, carefully filling them half full and full, finishing with a cheers! 👍🏼Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Bailey

Uh oh! The little robin has given out all his vests & doesn’t have a vest to keep himself warm. 🎽❄️Luckily, Mrs Cadamy thought of lots of ways we can create & attach a new vest for him! Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes @MissMcQP

❄️🎽We used pegs, string, tape, belts and lots of knots to attach our materials to the Robin to create a festive vest. 🎽❄️We kindly gifted him a knitted vest just like in the story! Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes @MissMcQP

🐲🐉Lots of challenges completed today…story telling and dragon drawing! The children loved that the Dragon was a ‘hero’ because he ‘made people happy, and ‘breathed fire to save the sun’. Some great discussions🐉🐲Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes Mrs Cadamy

🔟Lots of active learning today in maths carpet time! We have been focussing on number bonds and how we can make 10 in many different ways, using a ten frame to support us. 🔟Brilliant mathematicians! Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Bailey

📚📖Wow! Our EYFS parents and carers are fantastic. It was so lovely to see the classroom full and buzzing with reading excitement. Lots of activities that children can practice at home too. EYFS love to read! 💙💛Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes

Miss Fryer Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes Well done everyone 💙💛

Uh oh! The Gruffalo left us a video telling us that he is hiding somewhere in Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School and we need to find him. He even left footprints behind. The children are determined to find him! Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes #WorldBookDay

We were so lucky to be visited by illustrator Melanie Williamson today. She read That Pesky Dragon & challenged us to sketch some characters that she had illustrated herself from the story! The children were so determined & focused. 📚🖌️Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes

📚🖌️The children were so proud of their illustrations from today. Thank you Melanie Williamson for helping the children challenge their artistic abilities and encourage aspiration for future illustrators. #Everythingispossible 📚🖌️Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes

🚑🏥Today EYFS got a visit from two paramedics, who told us all about how they care for people in need within our community. We got to try on a paramedic uniform and we were ready to get in the ambulance to save people!🚑🏥Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes

🚨🚑We loved exploring the ambulance and hearing the noisy sirens! We were so inquisitive, asking lots of great questions for find out more about the role of a paramedic. So much excitement and engagement!🚨🚑Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes

🌱🌼⛅️Spring has sprung! EYFS enjoyed our spring walk this morning. We hunted for new blooms, fallen blossom and fresh leaves on trees. Phoebe discovered the lavender that made her feel ‘sleepy’!⛅️🌼🌸Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy

🔢Math really is everywhere in EYFS! We have been exploring missing numbers. We know we need to find out one more and one less to discover the missing number. Check us out! 🔢Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Bailey

🐛🐛We were happy to discover the mystery parcel in the classroom had 4 caterpillars inside! We have loved observing them grow and learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly! 🦋🦋Can you tell we were excited!? Mrs Cadamy Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Miss Hughes

📚Our first helicopter stories club was fantastic. The children worked hard creating independent stories inspired by wildlife. We then acted out the stories and became the characters! We are super storytellers! 📚Queen's Park C.E/U.R.C. Primary School Mrs Cadamy Miss Hughes Queen's Park Personal Development
