May is Mental Health Awareness Month. To celebrate, the students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School worked on a very special project. After listening to the story “Be You,” they created their own positive affirmations posters. I love all the powerful words they chose! ❤️

It’s official… the St. Evan Library is back up and running, and I couldn’t be more excited! Today students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School began visits to check out our new space and take out their first book of the year! Their excitement in getting back to the Library made my heart so happy!

Last week the students in Mrs. Pupo, Mrs. Travaglini, Mrs.Rogers, Pina Montalbano and Mrs. Scerni’s Class’s classes St. Evan Catholic Elementary School created some beautiful Todd Parr inspired art based on the book “Be Who You Are.” So proud of all their hard work!

This week in the Library St. Evan Catholic Elementary School the primary students listened to the story “Creepy Carrots!” They also got to create their own Creepy Carrots and build structures to protect them from Jasper Rabbit. Great work Eagles! 🥕

The students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School have been getting in the Halloween spirit! They have been working together to design their own monster and are then using the Spheros to take their monsters for a spin in the “Monster Parade!” So impressed with the creativity from all our Eagles!

Happy World Kindness Day from the students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School! The primary students worked together to fill each balloon heart with different acts of kindness to show that we rise by lifting others. 🎈

This week the primary students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School are listening to the Christmas story and are creating a stable for Mary, Jesus and Joseph using a variety of building and art materials. I always love the creativity with this challenge!

The St. Evan Catholic Elementary School Library is officially back up and running! The students have been coming for orientation and to take out their first books. It has been so nice to see their excitement in being back in the Library! Next week we will open the Makerspace! 📚

The Makerspace is officially open St. Evan Catholic Elementary School and I’m already so impressed with all of the creativity! A special shout-out goes out to some very creative grade 6’s who have added a beautiful piece of decor to the Library using our new giant plus-plus blocks! 👏

It’s been all things Thanksgiving for the FDK-Gr2 classes this week in the library St. Evan Catholic Elementary School… turkey hide-outs, playdoh turkeys, fall trees and Thanksgiving cards. 🦃 🍁 🍂

Today the Junior students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School were challenged to build Thanksgiving decor for the library tables. With only $30 to spend, they had to create a structure that could hold the weight of a pumpkin. A special thank you to the bankers for keeping all the groups on budget.

This week the FDK-Gr2 classes St. Evan Catholic Elementary School are listening to the story “Those Darn Squirrels.” After listening to the story and watching a video of a real squirrel obstacle course, students were challenged to make and test out a squirrel obstacle course of their own! 🐿

Halloween fun at the St. Evan Catholic Elementary School library! 🎃 Haunted houses, paper airplane bats, Hexbug mazes and more! 👻

To celebrate #BellLetsTalk the primary students St. Evan Catholic Elementary School created this special video to spread awareness about the importance of taking care of your mental health. At St. Evan we are a family, and that means that no one is left behind. 🦅
