A2: My favorite part was when he quoted Les Brown... ā€œYou must deal with circumstances such as you find them.ā€ I believe this whole heartedly and live it.

I have many passions. One is having experiences with my own children, sewing, crocheting, crafts and my faith. I enjoy having those ah-ha moments either with my own kids or my classroom kids. I treat my students just like my own kids at home.

I try to think of ways to make teaching interesting. Just have fun. If I show that I want to be here then the feeling will spread. Also everything is a teachable moment with the little kids. Just use it toward my advantage.

I try and make a fun first day activity that is the interest of the age. I make it where they will want to come back. First days I also try my hardest to learn their names fast. Who doesn’t want their name known? It makes them feel comfortable and get down to their level.

It means taking something that students need to know and giving it a reason for them to know it. Add some flare to it and help them remember it.

Q5: Lots of creativity goes on in our room. If students think of things I try to incorporate it. This week was the letter U. I have done this for many years with my Little’s and they never forget that they get to color pictures UNDER the table.

Teachers, I see you going above and beyond for your students right now. I’m so grateful for your dedication to their well-being. Reply to this tweet and tell me about a teacher that is putting in extra work to connect with their kids. I want to hear about it šŸ‘‡
