Our pumpkins were getting a little squishy so we decided to smash them! We then used them in the kitchen. “I’m making a pumpkin soup.” “This pumpkin is for a pie.” “I’m getting all of the seeds out to cook.” 🎃Lambeth P.S. TVDSBKindergarten

Today in Outdoor Education we made nature bracelets. So simple with a piece of masking tape. They turned out beautifully! 🍂🍁 Lambeth P.S. TVDSBKindergarten

Two of our favourite centres today in Outdoor Education. Painting with water from the puddles on the yard and a new activity in the sensory wagon - using fancy scissors and paper punchers with leaves! 🍁✂️ Lambeth P.S.

It’s been busy and cold during Outdoor Education the past few weeks. We’ve been focusing on birds! Check out the homes and structures we’ve made for our birds. We have also hung our bird feeders with care. Lambeth P.S.

Endless amounts of open-ended fun with buckets! We’ve built a bridge, the letter ‘C’, a rocket ship and a rainbow this week in Outdoor Education. Lambeth P.S.

Well done FDK team! Such great concert performances with a beautiful ‘Light a Candle for Peace’ finale 🕯️ Lambeth P.S.

We tried something new to stay dry today. Bet you didn’t expect an obstacle course when coming in or out of school. We truly got to see how hard our secretaries work all day long! Lambeth P.S.

❄️ Finally a snowy day in Outdoor Ed! ❄️ Squeeze bottles filled with food colouring and multi-coloured ice cubes were quite popular today. Lambeth P.S.

Wow! It felt like a Spring day in February.☀️ The shovels, rakes and buckets were a favourite today. We loved breaking up the ice and discovering water underneath. Lambeth P.S.

What season is it?? With the high winds today we had leaves blowing everywhere! Some students decided that we should rake them and gather them in a bag. So we did! Lambeth P.S.

We’ve been talking about and identifying different birds in Outdoor Ed. We heard what sounded like a woodpecker and then we spotted it! Lambeth P.S.

So proud of our Grade 3 dance club for all of their hand work and practice. They represented Lambeth wonderfully today at TVDSB Dance Festival. Lambeth P.S.

We’ve been up to so much fun in Outdoor Education this year! This week, nature magic wands. “Ms. Cunningham, you’ll like this one. There’s a cat and a heart.” This student used the paper punchers on the leaves to decorate their wand. TVDSBKindergarten Lambeth P.S.

Fancy scissors, paper punchers and leaves on the tuff tray. 🍂🍁🌿 TVDSBKindergarten Lambeth P.S.

We found a bee in the sandbox today! This sparked a lot of conversation between students and it was so neat to get an up close view. Lambeth P.S. TVDSBKindergarten

Thank you to the Lambeth P.S. Home and School for the generous contribution to our Kindergarten Outdoor Education program! We love to build outside and these new Octoplay materials have so many different building possibilities.

A mourning dove started making a nest yesterday and students have been enthralled with it ever since. A group of friends chose to sit quietly on the tarmac today and watch during outdoor education. Lambeth P.S. TVDSBKindergarten
