July 28th 1982: Both Type 42 Destroyers HMS Cardiff and HMS Exeter return home from the Falklands... both ships have had a busy war, although Exeter, which seemingly fascinated the Argentines from the outset, has been claimed sunk at least four or five times!

July 28th 1982: HMS Yarmouth returns to Rosyth from the Falklands, passing under the Forth Bridges and past Inchkeith island and meeting a rapturous Edinburgh & Fife welcome. She was easily one of the hardest working ships of the Task Force throughout the war... Job done, boys!

An excellent thread on the British Armies current armoured vehicle programs. And a reminder that while senior officers will always want more money, when they're given it, they don't always make the best use of it. Especially so in the case of the Army and its ever changing OrBats
