Walking through the bookstore today and saw a blast from my message-board past. Matt Serafini was a regular at some places I haunted back in the day, so I couldn’t pass up his newest book. Looking forward to it. (On your radar, Jason Cavallaro?)

One of my most anticipated books of 2025. Within the last year or two, Terrence published a terrific JFK-themed novella entitled CHICAGO ‘63. If this is even half as good as that one, readers are in for a treat with this upcoming novel. Details below. 👇

This week Punk Noir Press is revisiting some tales from last year, and my Betrayal story, “All Alone on Apple Road,” was reprinted today. It was only my second publication, but it really took off, earning an Editor’s Choice award. Link below. 👇 open.substack.com/pub/punknoirma…

My sister-in-law sent us a surprise today. While going through some old stuff, she found this picture of me and my wife when we dated in high school. Year would have been 1992. Such a trip to see this after so many years. Only the third picture we’ve unearthed from that time.

This is one of TWO collections I am publishing this year! One for Sorrow takes the reader on a journey forward and back between the extremes of human truth. Seeking connection. Sorrow and joy. Dark and light. Life and death.

Confession time: I bought The Owl Men of Shanidar, but wasn’t sure I’d ever read it. I struggle with sci-fi, and figured it wouldn’t be for me. But then I thought, “C’mon, man, this is effin’ Coy Hall! You gotta give it a chance!” Glad I did. Great stuff at the halfway mark.
