Earlier today we deployed the Deepglider from #RRSDiscovery #DY152 plan is to recover to #RRSJamesCook #JC237 later in the summer. The Deepglider will be profiling south of Whittard Canyon down to depths of 4000m #oceanrobots National Oceanography Centre @CLASS_UKRI #nmf


Mark your calendars MUNOceanography will be back BonneBayAquarium August 20 sharing the #AUV research happening Memorial University. We will also do a test launch of our ecoSUB Robotics Ltd small AUV from the dockside. Everyone is welcome!

In September, we set a personal record for the most gliders in the water at once! 10 gliders—nine belonging to OTN and one to MUNOceanography—were deployed to collect physical, biological and chemical data for different research projects. 📸: Nicolas Winkler Photography
