It’s been an exhausting week 😅 After a short nap, I’m going to catch up on some emails ✉️ I’m hoping to solve any problems that residents have noticed in Abbey’s green spaces, including fly tipping! Photo: Big ol’ tree in Histon 🌳

UK govt spin: "We've helped several children w/complex paediatric conditions access privately funded medical care in the UK, supporting an initiative by Project Pure Hope" TWO children in two years. HUNDREDS blocked. Expose & hold them legally accountable theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

On Tuesday I have regret motion in Universal Credit Bill. Strongest action I can take since we cannot stop or amend a money bill. You might want to lobby any Lords you know to support the regret motion #Poverty #Inequality parliament.uk/business/news/…

The one thing that’s making me madder than anything else around disabled people’s fight to stop welfare cuts is that it’s only us fighting. We see allies standing loudly for trans rights and Palestine (as they should) but where are they in our fight? Why don’t we matter as much?

Dear Steve Reed, If you set up a water commission only to tie its hands by not allowing it to consider public ownership, and excluding agricultural run off even though it causes half of water pollution, how can that commission possibly deliver real change?  1/2

The sound of deckchairs being scraped today, as the Cunliffe Report on the future of the water industry is published without being able to even consider the key issue of whether privatisation of the water industry has failed and re-nationalisation would be better for customers &

Expecting a different form of regulation to fix the water industry is, frankly, rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The govt deliberately left out the option of public ownership from the review, but that’s the only real way to get the water industry to clean up its act.

I was on the way to a planning committee site visit when the steering column on my mobility scooter came loose. I am shaken but safe (despite being on a busy road crossing when it happened). Very glad that lovely husband was working from home today.

MAGA gets their panties in a twist about Epstein and Trump and the possibilities Trump was on "the plane".....and yet 27 women come forward and say Trump assaulted them, and they ignore it.

What's better than a councillor resigning from Labour and joining the Greens? When it happens twice in a day! A huge welcome to Councillor Collins who's proud to be joining the party that puts people & planet first. Join us: join.greenparty.org.uk

Green peer Natalie Bennett 's regret motion about the Universal Credit bill is being heard in the Lords today. Very proud of my fellow Green Bennett today (although we are not related).

Lammas Land pool remains closed. The broken pipe has now been fixed and the pool has been cleaned and drained. It will take several days to refill with water. We are now hoping to reopen the pool on Friday afternoon. Thank you for your patience. 👉 orlo.uk/MnLJK

Diss is a town rooted in compassion and decency. What happened in Diss last night was wrong. Groups from outside our community came here to create fear and division. That is not who we are.
