Every year, I chase publishers to submit books to Jhalak Prize and am always disheartened & enraged by their reluctance. Each year, amazing books are inexplicably not submitted their publishers decide they don't want to. Why is #publishing SO averse to celebrating their books?

Our first fund saw £3m collectively allocated to 35 Black and Global Majority Grant Partners. Over 20 different areas were noted in their work tackling racial injustice. We’re so proud of the collective work our Grant Partners are committed to. Our second fund launches Nov 29th!
