Great to be invited along to the opening of Lumiere Charities new play centre in Aintree. Dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and also who are Neurodiverse. Soft Play, Gaming & Sensory room are brilliant. Families will benefit from this space massively. 💫

We’re incredibly proud of our teams today. Two national titles at u11. As an association we dedicate these to another national champion and England Schoolboys international, Jacob Baptista, who has passed away far too soon recently.

A few weeks since a person who worked closely with us at MMV chose to complete suicide, left ourselves with plenty of 'what if' questions. We've continued work in education our projects took a backseat. The 'Talking Together' project commence next week. Keep checking in on people

On Saturday also sees Charity football match take place for Jacob. What started with two local teams has stretched much further and will more likely have 4 teams in a shorter format. However a measure of the man is the amount of people wanting to be involved. Keep talking! 💙💛💚

Some send off Yesterday for Jacob. A measure of the man was the turnout. An if only in life he knew how much he was loved, cared for and respected. Suicide is still the biggest killer in males under 50. I can't emphasise how important talking is. Please check in on your people.

People underestimate the power of talking especially with health anxieties which affect MH. Just because something has changed for you doesn't mean that we can't adapt. There will be a therapy that works for you.

One of our YP in care coming towards the end of his Y11 educatuon today said he wants to keep in contact with his mentor wherever he ends up in the country. MMV was created to leave lasting impressions. Everyone deserves somebody they can talk too. #CommunityConnectionUnity

Great seeing some Y11s leaving today ones have worked with and ones who i havent. Excitement on their faces, shirts signed and no clue what the twists and turns of life that lay ahead of them.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there. To all the ones who try and are not allowed, keep going the young ones grow up. To the ones who aren't with us any more. Have a thought for them. An the ones who are fortunate to have your Dads. Spoil them, life is short. 💙💛💚

We were devastated when we got the news of Iains passing on Tuesday. Not only an important member or the Walk but the wider L8 community and always putting himself out to help others. His empathy knew no bounds. RIP Iain 🙏
