The Governor has been using the word "backwards" a lot lately. What's really BACKWARDS is his record on restoration of rights! The Virginia NAACP will continue to seek transparency on his ambiguous process of restoring the voting rights of our returning citizens.

The Virginia NAACP is outraged by yesterday's batch of vetoes of gun violence prevention bills by Governor Youngkin. These bills can save lives. Virginians, including innocent children, are dying every day at the hands of firearms. We must do more, and we will do more.

So, Governor Youngkin decries the loss of 30K jobs with his failure of the GLENDOME but vetoes a minimum wage increase that strengthens households THAT ALREADY HAVE JOBS. Make it make sense. Virginia NAACP will continue to advocate for a living wage for Virginia's hardest workers

Today, the Virginia NAACP and students sue Shenandoah Co. School Board for creating an unlawful and racially discriminatory environment for Black students by restoring Confederate school names. naacpva.org/virginia-naacp…
