Our 1945 series continues… By June 1945, the British Army had reached its wartime peak, over 3.1 million strong. June also marked the beginning of demobilisation. Each demobilised soldier were given the iconic ‘demob suit’ to wear. More info: bit.ly/4dP1sjq
