Managers at NBC News continue to walk all over their workers' rights — quickly removing and discarding union literature from individual members' desks, where posters and literature have long been allowed. Yet another federal labor violation by Cesar Conde.

A few weeks ago, I was informed I was being laid off from NBC News. I’d been on bereavement and medical leave, so it was a bit of a shock. After taking some time to reset, I am now open/looking for work both in and outside of journalism. Get in touch at [email protected].

Years of work and thousands of hours in those years were spent organizing and planning and bargaining for this contract, the first contract for @NBC’s digital workers union covering News and TODAY and News Now. This contract is now so very very close to reality. Solidarity.

After an overwhelming 94% ratification vote, we have secured the first union contract for the digital newsrooms of NBC News, @NBCNewsNOW, and TODAY. We are proud of the work that we do, and we're excited to continue that work with the protections of a strong first contract.
