We'd like to thank Dr. Margo Edwards, Director of University of Hawaii System' Applied Research Laboratory, for meeting with us and exhibiting the cool projects they've got in development, to include their Mini Sonde (MiSo) and Rapid Resilient Reefs for Coastal Defense (R3D) projects

We enjoyed our visit with University of Hawaii System' President, Dr. David Lassner, Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Vassilis Syrmos, and Dean of John A. Burns School of Medicine, Dr. Sam Shomaker. We greatly appreciate their valuable guidance as we grow our partnership with UH and Honolulu.

We had an opportunity to tour Hawaii EMA's EOC in Diamond Head Crater, Honolulu. Thank you to Mr. Matt Wall, Operations Branch Chief and his team for meeting with us to discuss the Center's NDMS Pilot Program and providing us with the historical background of the EOC.

Last week, Dr. Larissa Unruh represented NCDMPH at the 2024 Global Health Engagement and Theater Operational Planning Strategic Meeting in Tampa, Florida. During this meeting she discussed the development of a Health Emergencies for Large Populations (HELP) course for USCENTCOM.
