The Paddy's Creek swim beach at Lake James State Park will be closed for maintenance in the morning today 7/24 and Tuesday 7/25. It will open at 1 p.m. on both days.

Monday, 7/24 – Alert for Carolina Beach State Park: There is a power outage at the park. The visitor center remains open. There is no fuel for boats and no electricity in the campground or at the marina.

Mount Jefferson State Natural Area – Thursday, 7/27 The park will be closed due to road construction. The park may reopen later in the day.

Hanging Rock State Park Beginning on August 1, the park lake will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to staffing shortages.

Merchants Millpond State Park – Tuesday, 8/1 Road and parking surfacing will be occurring at the park. The park will remain open, but access to rentals, Lassiter Trail, visitor center, and picnic area may be temporarily affected. Be prepared to park in alternate lots.

Mount Jefferson State Natural – Monday, 7/31 until further notice Restrooms at the summit area are closed. We do not have an estimated reopening at this time. Please use the restrooms at the park office.
