This is a great outcome for Niamdh! We hope it’s a precedent other local authorities will now follow. Deaf children and young people should always be able to access the support they need without having to fight in the way Niamdh and her family have had to. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Great to catch up with Jackie Baillie at #ScotLab25 conference in Glasgow and update her on how National Deaf Children's Society are campaigning to make sure audiology services in Scotland meet the needs of #deaf children and young people.

Powerful testimony from Chris at the Right to Rehab Scotland Fringe at #ScotLab25 conference in Glasgow on the difference rehab made to him after his stroke. As Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland | also on bluesky have made clear, access to rehab should be a right across the board for both adults and children.

Great to hear Jackie Baillie commit Scottish Labour to bring down NHS waiting times - a key issue for #deaf children, young people & their families - at #scottishlabour25 in Glasgow. Looking forward to working with Jackie & Carol Mochan MSP on how this can be done for paediatric audiology.

Deaf children and young people’s issues got a very positive reception at #ScotLab25 conference this weekend. The Scottish Labour leadership highlighted the need to improve NHS workforce planning and tackle growing waiting times - and recognised this needs to include audiology.
