During Game 5, the Boston Celtics honored NEDS volunteer & living donor, Susan Gross, as a “Hero Among Us.” Susan donated a kidney to her son, Stephen. Susan has been a staunch advocate for donation and encourages others to register as organ donors so that they, too, can save lives.

NEDS' Community Outreach team is honored to have received the Corporate Award at the 108th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner, presented by the Greater New Haven NAACP, for their community outreach & education on donation. NEDS also received recognition from Rosa DeLauro & Mayor Justin Elicker.

NEDS attended the 2025 CelebrAsians Gala, hosted by AsianWomenForHealth! This vibrant and inspiring event brought together healthcare professionals, AAPI community leaders, policymakers, and advocates — all committed to building healthier, more equitable communities for all.

Over 220 golfers participated in NEDS 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Juniper Hill Golf Course! The tournament raised funds to support the NEDS mission of increasing awareness about organ and tissue donation and registering donors.

NEDS spoke with legislative interns in the MA State House Summer Internship Program as part of their Summer Speaker Series. NEDS was able to share with students information about organ & tissue donation & the importance of raising awareness about registering as a donor.
