Our newest employee and former service beneficiary Josh spent yesterday with a photographer and journalist from The Times and The Sunday Times for a forthcoming feature on the amazing work North East Young Dads & Lads (NEYDL) is able to do thanks to the support provided by The National Lottery Community Fund.

It’s been a really wonderful year for our 13 strong staff team, amazing volunteers & trustees North East Young Dads & Lads (NEYDL) culminating in 2 incredible awards nights held Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and Durham in celebration of all the young dads, children & families we support. Thanks to the 160 guests.

On the first day of Christmas we meet Curtis aged 18 and his daughter. Merry Christmas everyone. #reframingyoungfatherhood

On the second day of Christmas we get to meet Callum, who became a young dad aged 20, alongside his little boy. #reframingyoungfatherhood

On the third day of Christmas we meet Jordan, a former beneficiary of the charity who is now employed as our Cycling and Beekeeping Project Worker helping to deliver the Birds Bees Bikes and Trees Project #reframingyoungfatherhood

Saturday is just another working day for the young dads and staff at the hardest working young dads charity North East Young Dads & Lads (NEYDL) who shared their expertise with Dr Claire Smiles 🇮🇪 as part of an evaluation of Multi Agency Safeguarding Hubs. First meeting of the year for the AmbassaDADS today and great to catchup with old friends and welcome new ones. The AmbassaDADS is a community leaders programme for young dads acting as young dad’s champions. Can’t wait to see what they’ve guys achieve in 2025.
