So proud to have been officially nominated for a Lifetime Achiever Award at the 2025 National Diversity Awards. What a way to mark my 60th birthday. Especially for someone who was told they wouldn't make it past the age of 5. Can't wait for the awards ceremony. Bravo to everyone nominated ❤️

I am going into Parliament to vote against any cuts to disability benefits. No Labour government should be imposing benefit cuts forcing many more disabled people into poverty.

Went back to Park Lane in London. Found part of the cycle lane closed. People observed riding on the pavement, on the floating bus stop island & past people waiting at or on the crossing. Westminster City Council Cycle Safety Team TfL please urgently do something as this is not safe.

Today MPs will vote on proposals to cut £2 billion from support for sick and disabled people. 750,000 low-income sick and disabled people would lose £3,000 a year. We must not balance the books on the backs of the poor and disabled. I will vote against these plans.

I fear today's debates will pass without a mention of #DWPDeaths and the risk to thousands of disabled claimants of universal credit if this bill passes. So leaving this here from this am in Westminster Hall, cos MPs already have the evidence. #BinUCBill thedepartmentbook.com

Frustration after government only issues partial ban on new floating bus stops #FloatingBusStops NFBUK disabilitynewsservice.com/frustration-af…

This pause is the right thing to do - but going forward we need to see the removal of existing “floating” bus stops and a ban on new ones. We need truly *inclusive* street design and these stops are anything but- frankly they are a death trap for those who are visually impaired!

.Heidi Alexander MP Lord Peter Hendy Simon Lightwood MP this scheme put down in lockdown needs to be removed please. Bus passengers need to get to their buses and this arrangement is simply not working.

It's such a small thing to ask that the Mayor appoints a London disability champion, but it could make such a huge difference. Today I asked him for the third time to act, and for the third time he refused. Needless to say, I'm not going to let this drop. Inclusion London
