Last week at Winter Park, 22-23 EL Ms. Weeks shared about her partnership with Garbage to Gardens. We got to see 23-25 EL Ms. Mathews’s class & ways she builds community. Principal Hall spoke about how EL impacted his work & thanks to Well-Fed Ed for teaching about healthy living

Tonight we saw the amazing 22-23 Emerging Leader, Kisha Williams, speak at the NHCS BOE meeting for the Teacher Voice section. She shared about the powerful work she does as the Dean of Students at Hoggard HS. We are so proud of how she uplifts each and every student!

We could not be more proud of 23-25 Emerging Leaders, Jessica Harvey & Meagan Surface for making their Pathway Project focus on teacher and staff leadership in their building. We can’t wait to see your group lead with positivity and resilience!

We love our uncommon learning experiences that highlight innovative practices in our schools & build meaningful community partnerships. This cohort is taking the design thinking process to another level to find intentional ways to expand their reach while staying in their roles!

Tonight’s Teacher Voice at the NHCS BOE Meeting was 22-23 Emerging Leader, Sean Stanek. From his Surfriders student club to his non-profit, Share the Stoke, he has used his passion for surfing to empower students. He also led his National History Day crew to be 10 top in the US!

We are thrilled to see Emerging Leader, Lindsay Kahrs, helping deliver the keynote address at the NHCS Leadership Retreat today. She is known for her dynamic leadership and ability to build others up as leaders as well. Lindsay Kahrs Winter Park Elementary

There was so much to celebrate this past year for NHCS Emerging Leaders! These are just *some* of the accomplishments our amazing teacher leaders had last year. We can’t wait to see even more in this upcoming year!

This week we kicked off Phase 2 of the 23-25 Emerging Leaders Cohort! It was great to learn about the Spark Lab at SEA-Tech where we could learn about their innovative student learning. We also shared across cohorts ideas for Pathway Projects that they will launch in this year.

We love to see two of our Emerging Leaders take their experience in our program to the next level by bringing it to their school. We can’t wait to see how this grows!

What a week! On Tues., Christy Howe & Tara Mulvey kicked off our first Phase 3 meeting to elevate Pathway Projects at the Aero Center at ILM. On Thurs., Kylee Maarschalk & Amber Adams led Pathway Partner training at the Fuzzy Needle, so they can offer support for the new cohort.

It was a great day (as always) with NHCS Emerging Leaders - the thing I love the most is Elizabeth Felts and Peter Hunt always pick uncommon learning experiences and they inspire me each time we’re together! We were welcomed with open arms into Channel Powered by Live Oak Bank 👏🏼

So excited to be back, working with some amazing NHCS Emerging Leaders ! Always filling my cup and instantly making my heart fill full. Can’t wait to see these projects in action 🙌🏼

NHCS Emerging Leaders continues to shine 💡 At March’s monthly meeting, we got to be in Wilmington’s most amazing listening room Live At Ted's. It was the perfect place for collaboration in our mastermind groups to encourage and challenge one another through our Pathway Projects
