A Fantastic Team, and a well deserved award.

This month we're showcasing our Linen Services team. Edita is filling Pods of clean linen ready for dispatch across NHSG.  These pods are returned sterilised and filled ready for distribution on a daily basis. #proudtobenhsg

Linen Services showcase in September: Jennifer is fulfilling orders of Theatre scrubs for Main Theatres at ARI.  The laundry can process over 130,000 scrubs in a three month period.

Showcasing Linen Services: Said Aaouira is using one of the 2 towel folding machines within the laundry at ARI.  The laundry process towels usage for every department in NHSG.  On a weekly basis the laundry can process over 26,000 towels. #proudtobenhsg

Jeannie Gordon is working on the gown folding machine.  There are several varieties of gown worn in NHSG.  Open back patient gowns are the most popular and on any given week the laundry can process over 6,000 open backed gowns. #proudtobenhsg

All Laundry pods & cages distributing clean linen across the NHSG are sterilised daily. Our Kart washer steam sterilises all equipment.  Sherril-Lynne Genus is seen here loading the Kart washer. Staff are rotated weekly in tasks across the laundry.

Yesterday we wished our much loved colleague, Douglas Andrew a Happy Retirement. Douglas is our Learning & Development Manager who retires after over 40 years NHS Service.
