Dutch #godwit team from Global Flyway Network & University of Groningen was today in cota #Doñana in Veta la Palma area. Where normally 25k #btgodwit's spend time to refuel for last trip to the Nths. But dryness keeps birds away from this area. Another complex factor for the birds on #migration
It's not an Electronic #godwit but an Ebird from Project Godwit which the 'DoubleDutch' #btgodwit team from University of Groningen Campus Fryslân - University of Groningen discovered today in the Spanish cota Doñana in some fishponds. Rings: Blue/Orange-Yellow/Lime(E). Looks a 2cy bird Wader Study Jen Smart (she/her)
Dutch #godwit team from Global Flyway Network & University of Groningen was again in Brazo del Este in Doñana. We counted 3.500 #BTgodwit's, some sheep and sheep-egrets... And we discovered together with Wouter Vansteelant two transmitter godwit's "Warkumermar" which you can follow on globalflywaynetwork.org/flyway/east-at…
Flamingo's are a helpfull hand for the Dutch BT #godwit research team of Global Flyway Network and University of Groningen Campus Fryslân - University of Groningen in the Doñana in Spain. They move the #BTgodwit's a bit, so we are able to see both legs to read the colorring combinations! Moving slowly and elegant!
