We supported Lance Thompson Elementary (NISD) Day by investigating worms and the role they have in our ecosystems. Ss were challenged to use biomimicry of a worm predator to see how they would respond...some call that worm charming. All in all, we know these wigglers help us in more ways than 1.
"If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it." — David Sobel Happy #EarthDay2021 *Engage* Ss to find what they 💓 from our planet, and *then* empower them to save what they 💓! Northwest ISD
Woohoo! Hopefully we will get to observe the next part of their life cycle! Especially since Northwest ISD 2nd graders are studying butterflies right now! We wonder 🤔 how their chrysalis will be the same or different as a Painted Lady chrysalis? NISD Science

Needed a tool to catch come some beetles and true bugs, but couldn't find one. Thanks to this Whataburger® cup for helping me out! Could you say "whatacup"? 😆 Now our Ss will have some insects to observe (and then release.) 🔍🐞🪲📓 Amy Hollenshead NISD Science
Our J.C. Thompson Elementary 2nd graders think worms are a bit more interesting thanks to the cool tool the hand lens!
