We joined 40 organisations in signing a letter asking the Chancellor not to go ahead w/ the proposed cuts to disability benefits. The cut will have a significant impact on NI due to the higher % of disabled people and people on benefits. Read more here: mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

This is good news! The Universal Credit Contingency Fund (UCCF) which provides a grant to people in NI to help them get through the UC 5-week wait will be renamed to the Universal Credit New Claims Grant (it just makes more sense!) ⬇️

To eradicate poverty, we need a plan to get there. The NI Executive need to withdraw support of this draft 'strategy' and use the recommendations that they have had for 5 years from the expert panel and co-design group.
