A warm welcome to our annual School Leadership Conference 2025. We have started off the day with a fantastic performance from Northern Lights One Voice Choir. A collection of students from across our Trust schools.

To begin proceedings, we welcomed Jo Heaton OBE, CEO of Northern Lights Learning Trust, to introduce the day.

Our first speaker of the day is Dr Andy Cope, Best Selling Author of the his book ‘The Art of Being Brilliant’. Andy is a keynote speaker, best-selling author and ‘recovering academic’. As the UK’s first ever Dr of Happiness, he is also a regular on TV, radio and podcasts.

Next, we have Thomas Keaney, founder and CEO of TCES Group, a pioneering social enterprise that provides therapeutic education to neurodiverse children and young people with SEND in seven schools and services.

During the break, our attendees have the opportunity to chat to some of our exhibitors and collect a stamp for their Market Place Bingo Card.  The bingo cards will go into a random draw to win a range of prizes.

During the lunch break, attendees had another great opportunity to network with our exhibitors while enjoying their meal. It was also the final chance to get their bingo cards stamped and submitted for the prize draw taking place later in the day.

Our 1st speaker of the afternoon is Paul Rusby. Paul has worked in schools for over 30 years, 21 of which he spent as headteacher of three different Church of England schools. During this time, he was awarded the Teaching Award’s Headteacher of the Year award for the North East.

Next up is Andrew Howie—a multi-talented individual whose background in acting and teaching brings a unique blend of creativity and insight to his inspiring keynotes and workshops.

Our final speaker of the day is Jaz Ampaw-Farr. As CEO of Be Human First Limited, Jaz helps leaders who want to influence, inspire and motivate their teams with greater engagement in order to grow their businesses and leave a lifelong legacy.
