When I met with Griff & team to talk about their research I was absolutely horrified. This type of surveillance activity is a key tool of policing & state control which triggers policing & other intervention harming marginalised children & families in ways that can’t be measured

We might even say that this IS safeguarding. The reduction of harm through safeguarding is a secondary effect and overwhelming happens because of amazing, caring individuals (and despite structures).
