Maximillian Alvarez left NOLSW/ UAW Local 2320 members with a warning cry: what good is a CBA or the NLRA if oligarchs have stolen the futures from the working class? much gratitude for the powerful words, max❗️
NOLSW/ UAW Local 2320 members hitting DC today with a plain message for members of congress: invest in the working class❗️
Sending so much union love and solidarity to Brandon Mancilla and all our union siblings in UAW Region 9A!
"BASTA!" Form sent by Cesar Chavez’s office at United Farm Workers to UAW leaders to distribute to union members, with info on subscribing to farmworker publications like El Macriado. Late 1960s. From the archives at the Reuther Library WSU.
We were honored and moved by Maximillian Alvarez’s words at our NJC. Be sure to check them out!!
after a union sibling at NNJLS was unjustly terminated, NOLSW/ UAW Local 2320 members stepped up-organizing a termination appeal campaign + wearing stickers to remind management of the unit’s power. solidarity forever + ever❗️
UAW members from Locals 1596, 2320, 2325, 6950, & 7902 graduated last week from their Contemporary Labor Studies course at CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies. Members of Region 9A’s Summer Brigade program were joined by fellow UAW members in this summer semester course, taught by Daniel Judt.
Region 9A NOLSW/ UAW Local 2320 members joined others from across the country in Baltimore last week for the local’s National Joint Council. While there, members traveled to DC to educate Congressional offices about legal aid issues & lobby for homes for all, Medicare for all, & more.
The NJC also featured 3 Massachusetts NOLSW/ UAW Local 2320 members talking about building working class political power: Sen. Lydia Edwards, Rep. Tram T. Nguyen, & Emmylou Manwill running for Salem City Council. Region 9A is proud of our tradition of electing members to state & local office!
Congrats to ALAA - UAW 2325, @NYLAG, The Legal Aid Society and The Bronx Defenders on making history with strong agreements that lift standards for hundreds of workers! In the face of Trump’s attacks on our city, these organizations are on the front lines of protecting New Yorkers in housing
Solidarity with rootandreboundunion who have been striking for the right to get back to their clients at Root & Rebound for over four months!
