Lots to celebrate within our group recently. All 3 of our superstar researchers who applied for the competitive academic intern programme were successful. First up, Kielan. Congrats to the soon to be Dr. Wilson!

Next up of our academic interns is Conor Kennedy. Conor's project will address a complex patient cohort, geriatric patients with Type II odontoid fractures, and will incorporate some predictive modelling. Congrats to the soon to be, Dr. Kennedy!

Last up of our academic interns, but certainly not least, is Neil Wu. Neil's project will evaluate the timely topic of osteosarcopenia in spinal mets. It will hopefully play a part in a larger multi-centre analysis. Congrats, soon to be Dr. Wu!

Rohan will be joining NSIURG over the summer to work on a project as part of UCD SSRA. His project will focus on the increasing incidence of SCI, extrapolating the future economic and resource burden. Welcome, Rohan!

Prof Butler and Ms. Darwish were over visiting Brainlab HQ in Munich, driving forward our innovative vision and integration of the latest advancements into surgical practice. We look forward to exploring the clinical potential of this technology in spine surgery!
