Using shelters & irrigation to adjust seedbed moisture & to ensure dry conditions post sowing. Questions are: what’s the critical moist % to establish canola, & can seed be placed deeper if surface too dry? Really looking foward to these GRDC results👍CSIRO NSW Agronomy

Plenty of seeders in action on Anzac Day, including the Dubbo team sowing NVT canola at Mullaley & Bellata ahead of the forecast rain🤞. Very fortunate to have very wet profiles underneath these sites. GRDC National Variety Trials (NVT) NSW Agronomy GRDC North #NVTProvider

🪲Aphids have been active in canola this autumn. Despite the wet season in NNSW, warm conditions are driving aphid spread, and rain won't suppress their numbers. Monitor paddocks closely and act early! Don’t wait for purple leaves or signs of TuYV. NSW Agronomy GRDC North
