Together with Gordon Ogutu and Ismail Ismail I reflect on Kenya’s #ShirikaPlan for hosting refugees and raise questions about its potential implications, especially for refugees in Kenya. Looking forward to more discussions on this approach

Great honor to be able to participate in the Swedish Political Science Association’s annual conference #SWEPSA2024 at Umeå University and having great discussions in the International Politics working group

Wonderful panel “Violence/Conflict and Solidarity/Participation in Refugee Shelters in Europe and the World: Current Political and Societal Challenges and Opportunities”and inspiring exchange with Claudia Böhme, Yvette Ruzibiza and Shirin Tinnesand at #DeZIM_Conference

Quite a timely article by Ulrike Krause (@ulrikekrause.bsky.social) and Nadine Segadlo, published at a time when a recent report by Openly 🏳️🌈 quoted Kenya's refugee Commissioner Department of Refugee Services saying that sexual minorities have no special rights on his watch.

Fantastic to see Ulrike Krause (@ulrikekrause.bsky.social) and my article on queer displaced people's lived experiences in #Kakuma out in Gender Issues

I am pleased to share Ulrike Krause (@ulrikekrause.bsky.social) @EdlerHannnah and my analysis of peace perceptions from our research in #Kakuma and Germany as part of the project "Women, Forced Migration – and Peace?" funded by @dsfrieden Thank you to all who participated and supported the project!
