Dressing to impress! These 2 fabulous outfits on display in the Hall are 100 years old. They were worn in 1925 for a Girlguiding fete and pageant held in the grounds. The pageant celebrated Lancashire's history - see the original photos and find out more on a visit.

#GawthorpeHall is open for FREE on Saturday 17 May (12-4pm) for Painting Padiham event. See the Hall's fabulous paintings and visit the walled garden. Plus you can watch the artists painting in the grounds and catch the FREE vintage bus for a ride into Padiham.

Painting Padiham 2025 was a fabulous day at Gawthorpe Hall - sunshine, artists, lots of visitors in the Hall, vintage bus, picnics on the lawn.

Last week we really enjoyed having Bethany at #GawthorpeHall for work experience. She got the opportunity to help cleaning and looking after some of our collections, including winding up this lovely clock.

#GawthorpeHall's ghost garden is back, showing through the main lawn. The original photograph was taken around 1910, but the parterre was expensive to maintain. If you want to see it make sure you visit before it rains! tiny.cc/GawthorpeHall

#OTD 30 May 1643 Thomas Yate steward of Gawthorpe Hall died. His handwriting and signature are in the Shuttleworth Account books on display in #GawthorpeHall now, loaned from Lancashire Archives. He served Richard Shuttleworth for 34 years. tiny.cc/GawAccount
