A #farmer in #Langdale has made a plea to #tourists to stop visiting the #LakeDistrict after his step father-in-law died of #coronavirus. Jonathan Benson says the car parks are full and he has to keep using the gates they're all touching while walking in the fells to do his job.

Despite the Government health warnings, people have still travelled in numbers to the Lake District. A national emergency is not an excuse for a holiday. Everyone should be heeding warnings and stopping non-essential travel. #StayHomeSaveLives #COVID19

Great news from fixthefells NT Scafell Pike Riley a spaniel is the first NT ranger dog to be trained to seek, find and indicate buried drains on upland paths. Riley is shown sitting by a full drain on Lingmell Col, waiting for staff and volunteers to clear it. Nice one Riley.
