Great case conference with Anthony Pensa, MD and Dr. Cheema! Fantastic refresher on the ever boards-forward nephrotic syndrome. FSGS and membranous nephropathy are the most common glomerular-first etiologies, but the ddx is long. What a ride!

What a case! Asantewaa Ture, MD and Dr. Fletcher took us on a journey covering management of adrenal insufficiency, severe hypoNa, and the grey areas of patient care. 🔑 to address SDoH and do patient-centered capacity evals. Meet patients where they are!

Thank you to Aresha Martinez-Cardoso from UniversityofChicago for an amazing talk on social and structural determinants of health, with special attention to the Latino/a community in Chicago!

Thank you to all who joined for MR celebrating Pride! Delicious pastries from Chicago Sugar Daddy Patisserie, and a big shout out to Bianca Lavelle, MD for the work she does for transgender & gender diverse patients - lucky to learn from and work with you! Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

A highlight of my week was finally getting a selfie with the hospital robots… but biggest highlight is that the PGY3s are graduating tonight! NU Internal Medicine #MedEd #graduation2023 💜

Thank you Roopal Kundu for excellent teaching on identifying and treating dermatologic diseases in skin of color. PCPs are often the first point of contact - we must provide equitable care for our patients!

Guess who I ran into this morning at #ENDO2023 Endocrine Society but @KristenLeeMD Northwestern IM Chiefs NU Internal Medicine the inaugural E . Dale Abel award winner. She is a future #endocrinologist, How random is this?

Happy Juneteenth! We hosted a special noon conference led by Asantewaa Ture, MD that explored the history of Black health disparities and their long-standing impact. Important to recognize the perspective of our patients and always care for people as individuals

Sad to see our incredible PGY-3 class depart on their final day. The last group with in-person interviews, reliving that day with Gino's East for lunch. We can't wait to see the incredible things you do in the years to come!

So special to be joined by Diane Wayne, MD for a great talk on How to Give a Great Talk. Between the engaging stories, clear and limited learning objectives, and early end-time, it checked all the boxes and was a must-not-miss!

Congratulations to our soon-to-be interns! We can’t wait for you to join our family!!! NU Internal Medicine Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine
