Yesterday we held our Year 5/6 Quick Sticks hockey grand final at The Castle Rock School. Whitwick St John the Baptist CE Primary School, Ashby Hill Top Primary School and Woodstone all attended the final with Whitwick St John the Baptist CE Primary School going onto win and will now go on to represent NWL at the level 3 county competition on the 13th June.

After a successful few weeks of hockey events, I wanted to share some local Hockey Clubs,it would be great to see some new faces down there & we would love for as many children to get involved as possible.Both Ashby Hockey Club & @charnwoodforesthc have great training sessions

⚽ Last week, our Year 8/9 Girls Football team won 5-1 against Market Bosworth, meaning they are through to the County Cup Final on 2nd May at Seagrave! Pictured are some of the girls from the team. A big thanks to Ollie T-R, who was an amazing linesman for us! #beambitious

Last week we held our Y3/4 Tag Rugby Festivals at Ashby RFC and Coalville Rugby a fantastic event, new skills learnt and practised and the sun was shining! Well done to all children who came along, everyone had a great, fun afternoon

Our Y3/4 tennis festival was at Ashby Lawn Castle Lawn Tennis Club with Alex,Toby&Matt from the club for running the event&providing their expertise throughout. Also a big thank you to the young leaders from Ivanhoe School who did a great job running the stations for the kids.

Well done to all who took part in our Cricket comps just before half term. Griffydam were crowned Girls Y5/6 winners. HeatherPrimarySchool and Whitwick St John the Baptist CE Primary School will now play each other in a final to see who will represent the area in the county finals. Good luck to both teams!

A great afternoon yesterday at our KS3 Cricket Festival with Ashby School and Ibstock School , a great display of teamwork and cricket skills from both schools andneveryone had a great time. A huge thank you to Ibstock Town Cricket Club for hosting this event.

A huge thank you to our Sports Leaders at Ashby PE Department who have helped at our netball events over the last two days, they all did a fantastic job in umpiring the matches, without their help we wouldn't be able to run these events.

It was orienteering day yesterday!! It was great to see so many of our schools throughout the course of the day! We hope you all had a great time! A huge thank you to Leicestershire Orienteering Club.

Y5/6 Dynamos Cricket: Congrats to both HeatherPrimarySchool & Whitwick St John the Baptist CE Primary School on reaching the final. It was a competitive final played in the right spirit. Heather came out victorious, winning by 14 runs!They will now represent the area next week at the county final. Good luck!
