No direct impacts from Tropical Storm Chantal are expected across north and central Georgia. That said, be careful if going to the beaches of North Carolina and South Carolina—rip currents and choppy surf are expected over the next 24-36 hours. #gawx

⛈️Scattered storms are expected this afternoon/evening. A few could be strong to severe with a slightly higher risk in east GA. Strong wind gusts are the main threat. 🌧️Locally heavy rainfall could also cause street flooding & the potential for localized flash flooding. #gawx
