⛈️Continuing to watch showers/storms now approaching the Triangle within the next hour. Storms should deepen as they move into a favorable environment. 20-40 mph winds and heavy downpours will be probable for most. Isolated 40-60 mph winds and hail up to 1" is possible. #NCwx

⛈️Showers and storms have cleared the Triangle and can be given the all clear! We are continuing to track these storms eastward into the Coastal Plain. Expect mainly hit-and-miss heavy downpours and 20-40 mph winds. Some strengthening to 40-60 mph still remains possible. #NCwx

Hot and humid conditions will support the development of showers and storms. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat with hail as a secondary, isolated concern. Severe threat is greatest between 2- 8 pm.
