Steve Gill ๐ ๐บ๐ฆ All true - the one caveat is that if the patient was already producing aerosols through exertional respiratory activity or cough they will continue to do so with CPAP & HFNOโฆ..but itโs the patient not the procedure (& the CPAP/HFNO even reduces it a bit) Nick Wilson Euan Tovey
Fantastic talk from Nick Wilson ! The science behind the elusive โAGPโ and the (lack of?) evidence at such a central topic to the pandemic. Why did these precautions become so apparent? Weโve never seen a cough cloud before eitherโฆ #EAFest2022 #AGP

Hugely disappointing that Office of the Chief Executive NHSScotland 10 Oct IPC manual nipcm.hps.scot.nhs.uk/media/2005/202โฆ despite referring to the NHS England 9 June AGP review england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uplโฆ Cites the 20 April @NHSE IPC manual & not the 8 June version england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uplโฆ Updating AGP list is overdue
At Royal College of Anaesthetists speaking to RAFT A joy to highlight exceptional doctors who it was my luck to work with in the pandemic Their work has high impact & in some cases changed national policy May their careers flourish Emira Kurลกumoviฤ Andrew Kane Richard Armstrong Nick Wilson Andy Shrimpton
Our new study suggests carbon dioxide monitoring could be used to identify areas of inadequate environmental ventilation within acute hospital areas. Ensuring all hospital areas have adequate ventilation could reduce the risk of airborne infection. โฆ-publications.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11โฆ
