MOPD staff and City agency Disability Service Facilitators visited the PS 47 (“47” American Sign Language & English High School) Museum, hosted by alumni of what are now the American Sign Language and English schools. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about the rich history and culture of the Deaf community in NYC.




Commissioner Curry and Commissioner Howard from NYC Youth & Comm. visited Lexington School for the Deaf to explore ways to better support students joining the Summer Youth Employment Program. Inclusion matters—and so does opportunity. #SYEP #DisabilityInclusion #DeafYouth
