We had an exciting time last week connecting with constituents at our partner NYC Health + Hospitals & Queens Public Library locations in #Queens, #Brooklyn, & the #Bronx. In NYC, public libraries & medical centers also serve as community hubs & gateways to opportunities for immigrant New Yorkers!


Immigrant workers' rights are human rights & immigrant workers keep NYC thriving. Commissioner Commissioner Manuel Castro & DC Lucero attended Workers Justice Project ✊🏾❤️'s recent Gala. For 15 years WJP has been a strong leader in helping to empower NYC’s immigrant workforce.


Yesterday our Deputy Commissioner Lorena Lucero joined nychealthy's recent Transgender, Gender-Nonconforming, & Nonbinary (TGNCNB) #HealthSummit. DC Lucero spoke about how MOIA’s service providers assist in making healthcare more accessible to immigrant TGNCNB communities in NYC




On Tues, Commissioner Commissioner Manuel Castro, gathered with NYC International Affairs, community members, Haitian leaders, & Consulat Général d’Haïti à New York to raise the Haitian flag at Bowling Green. We celebrated 222 years since the creation of the Haitian Flag & the strength, & resilience of Haitian New Yorkers
