The NYPD was out today to ensure everyone, especially the LGBTQ+ community, had a safe and secure Pride. The Pride March is a celebration of inclusivity and visibility. But, not for everyone. Again, LGBTQ+ NYPD officers were not seen. Our message is clear: let us march.

Tonight, at the Police Commissioner’s Day of Play, the streets came alive with laughter, teamwork, and connection. Officers and youth built bonds that go beyond the badge. Public safety starts with trust, and trust begins with moments like these. 🌟

🕊️ Today we honor the memory of Detective Miosotis Familia, who was taken from us eight years ago in an act of senseless violence while serving her Bronx community. A devoted mother and true hero, her legacy lives on through her children and the NYPD family.
