On 6/20, I met with the new officers assigned to the NYPD 73rd Precinct who will be instrumental in patrolling our streets, enhancing safety, and fostering strong community ties. I also discussed with DI Despot crime reduction & advancements in community relations.

Our Public Safety Team took a drug dealer off the streets-seizing a large stash of crack and heroin before it could destroy lives. A great proactive effort by them to keep narcotics off our streets and improve everyone’s quality of life.

Our Field Intelligence Officers and Public Safety Team spotted a transit rider attempting to conceal a firearm. Our Officers moved in immediately, made an arrest and seized this this firearm.

Don’t be fooled by appearances, this isn’t a toy, it’s just as deadly as any firearm. Our Public Safety Team seized this illegal firearm during proactive enforcement, keeping potential violence out of our neighborhood.

After a citizen was menaced in traffic with a firearm, our Patrol Officers didn't hesitate. They located the vehicle, the suspect and the weapon. Quick response, with positive results.

Our Neighborhood Safety Team spotted a male attempting to conceal a firearm on a public street. He was immediately stopped, arrested and this firearm was seized.

Residents in East New York can celebrate Independence Day with a sigh of relief, knowing that nine alleged members of a violent Road 2 Riches street gang that terrorized a neighborhood have been apprehended.  NBC New York reports more on this gang takedown.

Our Neighborhood Safety Team chased down and apprehended a suspect armed with a gun. Another illegal firearm off our Brownsville streets thanks to relentless pursuit and sharp instincts.

While others watched fireworks, our Public Safety Team stayed locked in, spotting a male concealing an illegal firearm. Gun arrest #1 for the night.
