The Brooklyn Bridge has been a frequent location of complaints for illegal vending, so your Quality of Life Division officers teamed up with the NYPD 84th Precinct, Citywide Community Response Team, and NYC Sanitation to correct the issue.

Here's a sneak peek of our Vehicle Recovery Team improving the quality of life for residents of East New York. They answer community complaints and remove vehicles from the street that do not belong there—including cars that are abandoned, stolen, or have mismatched plates.

This week, in collaboration with NYPD Quality of Life Division, Chief of Transportation, and NYC Sanitation, we ticketed and towed multiple derelict and unregistered vehicles illegally occupying parking spaces that Bed Stuy residents are now able to use.

This past Sunday, Quality of Life officers from the NYPD 75th Precinct worked with a local store that had been repeatedly targeted for shoplifting & made an arrest, closing out 11 open cases. If that wasn't enough, they arrested his accomplice yesterday, closing 10 additional cases.

On May 11, 2025 Officers from the 90th Precinct Patrol responded to a 911 call for a person with a firearm. Upon further investigation a firearm was recovered and one individual was arrested. Great work by our 90 Officers!

Your Public Safety Officers sprang into action after spotting a person concealing a firearm. Their swift response led to the person’s arrest and the recovery of this loaded firearm. Every day the Public Safety Team’s proactive efforts help keep our streets safe.
