On June 27, a 2-alarm fire at 416 Avenue M in Brooklyn was sparked by a lithium-ion battery. Four people were injured, one critically. That person died on Tuesday. This marks the second death related to a lithium-ion battery in NYC this year.

Over the weekend, two PSA 2 Officers and a Sergeant were assigned to Family Day detail in Cypress Houses. While in the vicinity of their assignment, they apprehended an individual in possession of a loaded weapon. PSA2 officers are dedicated to keeping your community safe.

A joint operation between our Field Intelligence Officers & Neighborhood Safety Team led to the arrest of an individual traveling from Brooklyn to Manhattan with this illegal, loaded firearm.

Our Neighborhood Safety Team was out patrolling during the Ingersoll Houses Family Day when they observed a vehicle committing a traffic infraction. The driver and passenger were arrested after this loaded firearm was recovered from the vehicle. #Onelessgun
