NYPD Manhattan South wants to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Thank you to everyone especially the NYPD who made this years 264th St. Patricks Day Parade safe and enjoyable for all who marched and attended. It was a wonderful day full of celebration, cheer and good fun.

Assistant Chief Stephenson and Assistant Chief McCarthy pose as the parade made its way from Manhattan South into Manhattan North. This handshake symbolizes the “passing of the baton” and the seamless transition between our boroughs to keep our parade route festivities safe.

🚔At the Monthly Mayor’s Midtown Citizens Committee @Timessquarenyc & @nypdpbms awarded Lt. Khan & Sgt. Chohan with Cop of the Month. In a swift response, officers spotted & pursued 2 chain-snatching suspects, apprehending them moments later & restoring safety to Times Square.

Earlier today, Officer Molina, Officer Budhan & Quality of Life Sergeant Musayev did confront a male who was in possession of this loaded firearm. After a brief struggle, they were able to place the male under arrest and safely remove this firearm off of the streets of Manhattan.
