The PSA 2 NST team is on a roll- making their second gun arrest in just two weeks. Outstanding work keeping illegal firearms off our streets and keeping our community of Crown Heights safe.

I am humbled to be one of the Shooting Star Honorees from the 75th Precinct Community Council at their annual gala last night. My time in the 75th precinct introduced me to passionate members of the community and I am fortunate to continue my work in East New York with them.

This week, Deputy Inspector De Leo, Housing Borough Brooklyn North, met with Tenant Association Presidents from PSA 1, 2, and 3 to hear their concerns and address key community issues.

Today our Explorers competed in the annual Explorers Spring Competition and placed 3rd in the Executive Protection scenario. Congratulations and keep up the great work!

This past weekend during the CAMBA Carnival Health Resource Fair, the Explorers did some community outreach and recruitment. Our young men and women of tomorrow continue to be a positive influence in the community.

Yesterday, we attended a solemn and moving memorial service at Saint Frances De Chantal Church, honoring our fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

I was honored and privileged to serve as a judge for the Youth Leadership Council. Each presentation was inspiring, thoughtful and full of promise. Congratulations to all the participants and to the well deserved finalist.

This past weekend, the community came together to celebrate the third annual Christmas in July. Thank you to everyone who partnered with Community Affairs and New Life Cathedral Church to make it truly special.

On Independence Day, NST officers swiftly took action and made a firearm arrest, keeping our community safe during the holiday celebrations.

Police Service Area #2 NCOs recovered an illegal firearm during a proactive patrol in the 77th Precinct. Another gun off the streets of Crown Heights. Also, PSA 2 Patrol Officers responded to a domestic violence call and safely recovered a firearm. Great job to all!
