🚧ADVISORY🚧 As per Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA), there is a ''Soft Ban" on all TBTA Bridges for all empty tractor trailers and tandem trailers until further notice starting tomorrow Friday, 02/16/2024 from 6️⃣AM till 6️⃣PM.

Complaints were heard 👂 We partnered with NYPD 111th Precinct and did some heavy lifting to remove illegally parked commercial vehicles🚚🚛 near Horace Harding Expressway. Thank you to everyone who participated in this cleanup.

Your 66 traffic officers along with NYPD Traffic agents were out towing overnight commercial vehicles.

Our hearts are heavy for the loss of one of our own - Police Officer Jonathan Diller. We will #neverforget the sacrifice he made to protect the people & ensure the city was safe-a true hero. Our thoughts & prayers go out to his family, loved ones, and brothers & sisters in blue

Slowing down and moving over isn't only for emergency vehicles. It is now law in NYS that all drivers take precautions, including slowing down and moving over, to avoid a crash with any vehicle stopped along the roadway.

We were back in the NYPD 114th Precinct this week for multiple complaints of unregistered and abandoned vehicles taking up precious parking space. With the help of NYC Sanitation, we removed 2️⃣9️⃣ unregistered or abandoned vehicles. Great job to everyone involved! You 🗣️ we 👂

Your 114 Precinct Traffic Safety Team conducted a joint operation with @NYPDCommLink, NYPD Traffic, and NYC Sanitation to clear up derelict and illegally parked vehicles from the vicinity of 49 St and Astoria Blvd.

Tonight was the NYPD's 1st deployment of a windshield boot aka the "Barnacle Device." It's used to immobilize vehicles violating parking regulations. This allows us to hold those accountable, reduce parking congestion & address cars that are a nuisance & hazard to the community.

We are continuing the enforcement for mopeds that are unregistered and being driven recklessly, putting pedestrians and others at risk. Please ensure they are registered and insured. Please stay out of the bicycle lanes.

We 👂 the complaints from the residents about commercial vehicles parking in residential areas. Last Friday, we deployed 4️⃣ Barnacle Devices in Queens for these violators parked in residential areas. Thank you to all involved in this initiative.

🚧UPCOMING CLOSURE🚧 The Queens-bound BQE will be fully closed from Atlantic Ave - Sands St from Sat, 4/13 at 2am to Mon, 4/15 at 4am. Travelers are strongly encouraged to avoid the BQE during scheduled closures. Please review the detour routes & expect extended travel times.

Today, our Traffic Safety Officers, in conjunction w/ 83 NCO’s and the 104 PCT, conducted an Illegal 2 Wheel Device Operation. Officers confiscated unregistered/uninsured vehicles off the streets of Bushwick. @NYPDTRANSPORT @NYPDBKLYNNORTH

Another successful tow operation conducted this week. Be sure to park legally and move your vehicle every seven days.

Last night in a joint effort with NYPD 42nd Precinct and NYC Sanitation, we removed 2️⃣5️⃣ unregistered and abandoned vehicles from the streets. Let's be sure all vehicles on the streets are properly registered. Great job by everyone involved!

Due to multiple 311 complaints concerning unregistered/uninsured vehicles & occupied RVs & trailers, we partnered with other agencies to remove these vehicles and RVs near Northern Blvd in Queens. Thank you to everyone involved in this initiative. You 🗣️ we 👂🏼
