Special constables and York City NPT have located and safeguarded a vulnerable teenager reported missing. The teen stopped in York whilst travelling to evade officers from her home force. Located after a coordinated effort by York officers steps were taken to make her safe.

In the current icy conditions, we are getting a high number of calls about children playing on ice. Please speak to your children about the dangers of walking on frozen lakes or ponds. It may look like harmless fun but ice may be thin and it is incredibly dangerous.

York city NPT were supported by a member of the local community yesterday helping to locate a prolific offender. He was arrested for a number of offences including burglaries. The team were able to put the cases together and he is now serving ten weeks in custody.

We are investigating several vehicle interferences that occurred in the early hours of this morning (19th ) in Rawcliffe, York . Please check that your vehicle is locked when not attended and that all valuables are removed. Any suspicious activity then please call 999.
