Summer in WNY means roadway improvements and repairs! That also means we need your help to keep everyone safe on the road. 5 Intrusions seem small, but 1 intrusion is too many. Stay vigilant on the road, as you enjoy summer travels. 🌞 #WNY #Safety #Slowdown

🚧For the past couple weeks, we have been doing shotcrete concrete repairs on the Skyway working from the south end of the bridge and progressing toward the river. ⚒️Essentially, workers spray concrete at a high velocity at deteriorating areas to reinforce them. #NYSDOT #skyway

This morning we started our second concrete pour for the new Route 20 bridge over Cazenovia Creek. We have to alternate decks so everything sets correctly. Today we'll use two concrete pumps and a finishing machine 427 cubic yards of concrete! Here's more footage from last week.

Look how close traffic is to some of our work zones. PLEASE pay attention to the signs, slow down and move over when possible. You're sharing the road with our employees. Let's keep them safe while they work to make your commute better.

Our Southern Erie County drainage team recently repaired a sink hole on Big Tree Road (Route 20A) in Hamburg. The job included repairing guide rail, installing a new sign and straightening another. National Fuel was on site due to a high-pressure line in the area.
