This week we have been celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science🧪#IDWGS 🔬On Tuesday, scientists from CRUK Scotland Inst and UofG Cancer Sciences joined Girl Guides and Rangers from Anniesland for a hands-on, interactive session filled with fun!

👏A fantastic day last week at the inaugural Eric Aboagye Recognition Award CRUK Scotland Inst PhD student Sarah Williams kicked off the day by sharing why these events are so important and how she brought this one to life

What I love most about my-day-to-day in science is the investigative/inquisitive aspect of research. I’m always learning something new and it often gets me out my comfort zone 👩🏽🔬 I nominate Hannah Tovell || 👩🔬🧫 Joanna Birch Natalie Fisher #IWD #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

Next up another selected abstract from Dr Nuray Gündüz at the Owen Sansom 🏳️🌈 group at CRUK Scotland Inst presenting her research on LGR4 maintenance of intestinal homeostasis and protection from mutant-cell clonal expansion. #WNTUK2025

Proud to be representing CRUK Scotland Inst at the #prevconf25 with fellow Beatsonites Nadia Nasreddin Jen Morton 🏴🇺🇦 DanisThomas, showcasing our Science and Innovation at Cancer Research UK funded work on cancer prevention in #HCC

✨Thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to work on our project exploring WNT-driven cell competition as a novel preventative strategy in CRC 🧬 We’re hiring a Senior Scientific Officer to join me in Owen Sansom 🏳️🌈’s lab. Great science and lots of room to make an impact! 👩🏽🔬
