Over 10,000 farmers in 44 wards across the country have received maize seeds & avocado seedlings today for empowerment and boosting food security under Gov. Susan Kihika’s pro-farmer agenda.

Governor Susan Kihika today convened a meeting with departmental directors to streamline service delivery and enhance project implementation. The session focused on fast-tracking development, resolving implementation challenges, and aligning efforts with county priorities.

Over 700 households in Subuku, Kihingo Ward are set to get clean water via the 6.5km Mutitu, Wendani, Rurii water projects piped from a newly built tank, easing reliance on Subuku Dam.

Over 1,200 households in Malewa West Ward, Gilgil Sub-county, will benefit from water projects handed over to a contractor today. St. Paul’s, Gathengera, and Nyondia water projects will feature borehole equipping, tanks, piping, and solarization to cut costs and improve supply.

Nakuru has 10,000 farmers growing pyrethrum on 3,884 acres, producing 1,273 metric tonnes worth KSh 236.9M. Governor Susan Kihika aims to scale this to 30,000 acres as Nakuru reclaims its place as Kenya’s pyrethrum leader.

Nakuru County has begun drilling a borehole in Kabianga, Molo Ward to serve over 4,000 residents in Kabianga, Tulwet & Kibera with clean, safe water. The Entaki Water Project in Nyota Ward has also been handed over for solarization & equipping.

Nakuru County has taken the first step toward a last-mile water connection in Nakuru East Ward. The 7km supply line will serve 2,000+ households, Mirugi Kariuki Hospital, schools & businesses—bringing clean, safe water closer to the people.

Another step towards water access in Kuresoi South. Through a 2.2km pipeline, the Soitaran Water Project will serve over 1,500 residents in Lelaibei, Soitaran, Tabaita and Sigowet in Keringet Ward.

We’ve stepped up efforts to ensure clean water for all. In Barut Ward, a 6km pipeline will benefit over 2,500 residents. In Eburu Mbaruk, a new extension from the Nderit Water Project will serve over 1,500 residents and traders at Elementaita shopping center

The County Government of Nakuru has planted over 500 trees at Nakuru Teachers Comprehensive School. This initiative is part of H.E. Susan Kihika’s climate action agenda to help combat climate change, prevent soil erosion, and promote environmental education for students.

The Kuresoi North Level 4 Hospital in Kiptororo Ward is a Kshs 248.2M promise to deliver dignity and quality healthcare. The 2-storey building will include a 100-bed inpatient unit, labs, maternity wing and two theatres.

Gov. Susan Kihika met with matatu owners to streamline CBD operations while keeping Nakuru vibrant & orderly. Gov assured collaboration with National Government to tackle insecurity ensuring no one operates in fear.

Over 1100 Naithuiti village, Visoi ward, will enjoy better access to clean water after the Naithuiti Water Project was handed to a contractor for upgrades. Works include solarizing, installing a new pump, building a water kiosk, laying 300m of pipeline, and 50 metres fencing.

Over 1,800 residents of Kapkarang, Kamanoswa, Kaptimom, Siriat, Kapkein, and Ndoswa in Marioshoni Ward, Molo Sub-county, will soon enjoy direct access to clean water with the 7.8km piping set to be done fulfilling Gvn @SusanKihika's promise of last-mile water connectivity
